I forgot to take pics of my outfit on Tuesday, so on Wednesday I re-created the outfit and took pictures. The only difference between Tuesday and the pictures is that on Tuesday I wore a white tshirt that peaked out from under my blazer on the bottom. I was inspired by Tiffany of I am Style-ish's post and wanted to incorporate a scarf into an outfit. I think this scarf was originally my sister's, but I'm not sure. We got this one and several others while in Rome the summer of 1997, the summer before we moved to Barcelona. As you can see from the picture below, the scarf is different shades of tan and brown in animal prints. I felt very comfortable pairing the scarf with the brown blazer and jeans.
At first I just had the scarf hanging down around my neck, but it got in the way so I tied it. I know that pairing the scarf with a brown blazer was a "safe" look, but considering it was my first time trying it, safe is ok. Maybe next time I'll use a bolder scarf or pair this one with something less safe.
The Details:
Brown Blazer: Old Navy
White T-Shirt: H&M
Scarf: On the street in Rome
Boots: Nine West
Jeans: Old Navy

What is this scarf made out of? It looks all silky and gauzy.
Honestly, I don't know. I would like to say its silk (my guess is that it's not but I'm sure it was sold to us on the streets of Rome as silk.)
you look great! scarves make the best accessories don't they?
Thanks! They do and I'm definitely going to have to figure out how to wear my big square silk scarves ASAP!
