Today was Cathy's jewelry party. Cathy is the sister-in-law of one of the women that I work with. She is a high school teacher and also makes jewelry as a way of managing stress. Every year she throws a jewelry party and this is the 2nd one that I've gone to. Let me tell you, it is REALLY hard to walk out of there with nothing in hand. As it is, I bought one gorgeous necklace this year that I will probably wear to Evelyn's wedding as well as the office Christmas Dinner.
I wanted to keep my outfit simple and easy so I chose this lightweight sweater and jeans and embellished it with a hair pin turned brooch from Sew Lovely. I also wore my hair up in a french twist using the Clever Clip and let my bangs down. AND I wore makeup! (Big deal I know.) I'm not a big makeup wearer as it generally takes more time and effort than I have. But for days in which I go to work or would like to look extra cute I wear some makeup. So today I used a brown eyeliner, some brown eye shadow and light rose blush. Its not complicated, but I feel like I look more put together.
The Details:
top: Old Navy
Jeans: Old Navy
Flats: Puma
Brooch: Sew Lovely

What is your opinion of the Clever Click? I'm intrigued by them. Should I buy?
I LOVE the Clever Clip! I don't even know how to put my hair up in a proper french twist, but with the clip I can do it in a few seconds. Also, its really easy to make your hair look polished and up without requiring a lot of time or effort. So I most definitely recommend it.

I read the review, and you have convinced me to investigate for myself. :)
Awesome! I'm such a fan that I've recommended it to several of my girl friends and even got some for my younger sister last year.
I create jewelry to INCREASE my stress. I guess that's a way of managing it too.
Hee hee WendyB! I'm going to try to make a few necklaces from some freshwater pearls that I got some months ago. We'll see if it manages or increases the stress.
