HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my U.S. readers!
Got yesterday, Wednesday, off from class and I decided to go in to work. I wore my new necklace that I bought at the jewelry party. The necklace is smoky quartz and catches light beautifully. I'm *very* happy I splurged and bought it. Cathy originally bought the quartz crystals to make herself a necklace, but decided they were too heavy for her as she has neck problems. Well, when I saw the necklace at the jewelry party, I knew it would be going home with me. Normally I buy freshwater pearls from Cathy, but this necklace is just too beautiful to have passed up.
I also decided to wear this blouse I got in Puerto Rico a few years ago. I love this blouse and the floral print and would like to wear it more often but since its one of only a few blouses I have that are prints, I try to avoid wearing it regularly. That its pretty sheer makes it difficult to wear often as well. I almost always layer a black tank top under it to keep things decent. When I bought the shirt it originally it had a black ribbon that tied in a weird place, so I had my mom remove it and kept the black ribbon which I used in this outfit as a belt.
I absolutely love the neckline of the blouse. It makes the blouse easy to wear in warm weather or cold by layering a cardigan or blazer on it or not. Also, because the neckline is pretty high, I'm able to wear it to work without worrying about showing too much, especially when I bend over to read or pick something up. I have a few other blouses with similar necklines that I wear often for the same reasons. They're cute and comfy and easy to layer while maintaining the ability to not show a whole bunch of cleavage. Since I do have plentiful breasts, this is very important to me so that I can look professional and put together and maintain my comfort.
