25 things to avoid? really?

I just saw this and I don't agree with all of them.  Granted, some of them make sense (mom jeans anyone?) but, I mean, surely you all would tell me if I looked fat in my peasant skirt, shorts or frilly skirt,  right?

I disagree with almost everything on the list.

I think I look absolutely lovely in my gladiator sandals and I always get a lot of compliments on them when I wear them.

I completely DISAGREE with a lot of those items. Some will make you look shorter but not at all fat.

Wear what you love and style it the right way... and confidence is the key!!! xoxo

I call bullsh*t. Some of the items are unattractive period ((mom jeans, clunky white sneakers). Many of the things on the list are frequently staples in unflattering outfits, like capris, hotpants, bustiers and sweatshirts, but they can also be worn well too. The rest of the list is completely neutral in my opinion. Stuff that can work great if it fits well and is styled right, or that can be worn poorly if it fits badly.

This is just another example of the industry trying to shame people who don't have what it deems to be the perfect figure. I'm sorry, but I read people's blogs to see the outfits and the personal style not to judge whether or not they are "fat."

Hee Hee! I knew you all would get a kick out of this. I agree that this list is just a way to shame women into feeling bad about themselves and their closets. Its kind of sad that someone out there thinks its ok to publish this list (in a book no less!) with the idea of helping women feel better about themselves and look better.
