I've been wanting to wear this blazer for a while now, but didn't know with what to wear it. I figured out that in order to balance out the blazer's boxy shape I should pair it with some wide leg pants. You can't tell in the pic, but they are pinstripe pants. I couldn't figure out what top to wear under the jacket and finally came up with a solution that is out of the box and unexpected. It's a men's undershirt! How's that for unexpected? The pointy shoes rounded it out in hopes that they would elongate my legs. All in all, this outfit made me pretty happy, as you can see below.
My only concern though is that the blazer seems a bit matronly, with its boxy shape (as opposed to being fitted) and the black edging (which I love). What do you guys think: matronly or has exam stress made me nuts?
The Details:
Blazer:
Pinstripe pants: The Gap
Black pumps: Aldo
Gray shirt: Fruit of the Loom men's undershirt
Necklace: Smoky quartz from Cathy

I don't think it looks matronly. The pointy shoes look great with this! I would be willing to bet that this blazer would also look good with your brown dress from BR that you wore the other day.
